Mackay Sugar Cogeneration

Mackay Sugar seems to be doing something good.

It claims that its 38 megawatt Racecourse Cogeneration Plant produces enough renewable energy to power about 30 per cent of Mackay. The plant is also reducing Queensland's greenhouse gas emissions by 200,000 tonnes equivalent carbon dioxide (CO2e) each year.
